This reminds me of when they rejected me in the worst way on the 14th, I felt humiliated, insulted, assaulted, murdered, everything.

For real? My condolences. Look on the bright side (from a guy who has absolutely no experience with romance), the person who rejected you that way is probably a jackass and what you're doing now is most likely way better than spending time with them.

Oh my, I'm truly sorry, it must've hurt a lot. I know how it feels to get rejected, but try to look at the bright side. Maybe that person wasn't the right one. He/She/They sounds like a real jackass. I'm pretty sure there's someone WAYYY better waiting for you!

I know how you feel, I was rejected on Valentine's Day as well (last year). Take it from me though, if they really hurt you that bad, it's a good thing you are not dating them. Find someone who will really care, then even if they reject you, they will still understand you.

My advice:
- Find someone you care about, and who also cares about you.
- An attempt at a romantic relationship will not salvage a dying friendship (as I painfully discovered).
- You will find someone, eventually. It took years for me, but I eventually found someone who I love deeply. It just takes time.

I'm sorry if this advice is basic or cliche, but it is what I have learned through experience. Remember, Valentine's Day doesn't really mean anything, it's just a consumerism-fueled day that is really no different from any other.

Gosh... I'm sorry that happened, and that you feel that way. But yeah, on the bright side, whoever rejected you seems like a total piece of crap who'd probably use you even if they did accept you.
